Yes the 516's have and are being brought into if not already in canada. I dont see why the 716 wouldnt be allowed in.
Im sure TI will be by shortly with more info.

The 716 is only made in the US. This is a restricted only firearm; the CQB version will be released third quarter 2013.

Yikes! Really?

Sucks that every time I settle on a gun, I have to research it to make sure it is going to perform well and not turn into an expensive nightmare.

TI Sig rifles may well be worth the extra coin, given the suggested QC issues on the US ones, I'll have to do my homework - thanks for the heads up.

Really, if found the complaint review right away on YouTube for the US manufacture.

Basically a couple of guys have had problems with the roll pins on the gas tube piston - after 400 rounds on a new rifle, the pin was just working it's way out, and would definitely cause a failure if not fixed. That said his solution was to get a pack of improved roll pins from Brownells - problem solved and loves the rifle, so just a gremlin, easily fixed, but important none the less.

Its not a be all end all for a purchase. I saw one guy who only put a few hundred through, had a pretty beat up piston rod roll pin, he's got a bunch of vids, might have got a bad one. I did alot of research on line in forms and reading reviews before getting my German made one. Nothing against U.S. made but im just saying, "I read some :bigHug::bigHug::bigHug::bigHug:". Nothing against "The Gun Dealer" either, I will probably pick up a CQB 716 next year when i save up some more cash. Love my Sigs.
