No Sh*t ! you know how hard it is to find places to safely shoot 1000 on the island ? With all the snow out here right now, im screwed until spring.

Ive got an unreal spot right now that you can shoot to 2000. Its got 5 switch backs up a mountain face to the top with 3-4 ft of wet snow on the road. Not going to happen for awhile.

Really nice setup.

I used to shoot up a 3000+ mountian side field from my dads porch. looking to get back into the long range. Im leaning toward the .338 any suggestions?
 
What kind of lathe is that? How much and where did you get it from? I'm looking to get a lathe in the near future and it is nice to see what other people are getting. Also are you planning on a mill?
 
It's a wonderful shooting spot you got there, I wish they'd be some place like that around here.
 
That is a fantastic looking spot!

Right now I can only get out to about 900yds or so across a deep valley, which creates some very interesting wind situations a lot of the time. I'd love to find a more flat or protected spot to reach out there where the winds are going in opposite directions 90% of the time.
