If you notice, the gear that is required for each course of fire, NIJ Level III minimum (he's not talking III-a which would just require soft armour). III requires the use of plates, either ceramic, polyethelene, or steel. Just thinking about a full loadout mags and all, 50 Pushups doens't seem too bad, IF I can stack my mag shingles such that I only have to drop down an inch before coming back up. Just saying, it can be done. If I wear my helmet, with NVG mount with NVG on, then really, I don't have to drop that far either, just until the my NVG's touch the ground. Same with the kneepads. Come on, 50 pushups, easy peasy. I don't know how it is over in Toronto, but out here, one look at the pers at Naden, and up at CFB Comox, leads me to believe they wouldnt be able to do 15 pushups with full combat loadout...

Do federations (ala 'clubs') have to be registered as non profit orgs?

Ummmm could I put a stack of pillows under me to hold me up. ? Maybe use camo pillow covers??? It wouldn't be a competitive advantage since all serious nija mall warriors sleep on camo pillow cases.

Maybe I don't need Steve after all.

Take Care

Bob

Bob, just in case you do need me, I will be the guy laying in the chase lounge with the cooler of cold beer and basket of buffalo wings. I will bring a few extra lounge chairs, 1 for you and a few for those that wish to watch this show as opposed to....LOL..LOL....LOL....LOL........par...LOL...LOL...LOL...LOL.....tic...LOL...LOL..LOL....i...LOL...LOL...LOL....pate...LOL...LOL...LOL...LOL.....!

Man Earl, you must be parched from eating all that popcorn through this entire thread? Come and sit in one of my extra chase lounges, have some cold beer and buffalo wings and we can watch the show until Bob passes out from doing push ups, we can revived him with a cold ale and then watch some more.

So...why push-ups I wonder? And why ONLY push-ups and not say, car lifting, or maybe horse tackling....or something?

Nope, SPCA wouldn't sanction the horse tackling. Although, maybe there should be a mounted stage. I mean, those SF teams that went into A'stan after 9/11 were on horseback, so any uber-tacticool ninja assassin warrior should have that in his skillset !!! Bringing my horse would be the only way I'd be covering 1400yds in full armour and kit

What's killing me is the website and the website author's less-than-stellar grammar.

I can and have done a lot of this stuff but I see it more as stages that are more suitable to training rather something that would be done in competition.

If it was more like the SWAT challenge with obstacles, team events, carrying or rescue of Tactical Ted, etc., it would be interesting but the lack of professionalism that is evident from the website detracts from the author's credibility.

I wouldn't scoff at it (the SWAT challenge started somewhere), I just don't think it was well thought out or delivered in this instance.

Hmmm, shouldn't they have used camels?
This reminds me; I once punched a camel in the face, which I think qualifies as tacti-cool. Damned thing sulked for weeks after that, but that's what you get for spitting at me. Crap, now I'm all amped up for some push-ups....
