And let that be a lesson to all the would be Mall Ninjas......I would suggest this be a sticky, but this was way to much fun to not do again :D

I managed to save one of the vids before he nuked them....I just don't think I can post it!

Oh god...for the Johnny Come Latelys like myself you have to find a way!!!

d:h:

Jeebus guys, the poor guy went and deleted all of his posts, and even his website. :p

y'know...this whole episode, amusing at it seems, has brought me to crossroads of sorts. Should I in fact do a little something to augment my physical condition? I mean really, is there some sick validity to this? At the overweight age of 40, my IPSC shooting gives me some physical grief every now and then. There certainly is something to be said for the physical prowess of any given competitor, this much would seem to be intuitive. The fat dudes - that would be me - tend to move slower (or in many cases tend to be harder to stop) than the fit dudes. Or some guys can just plain shoot and therefore save steps. But really, how much of a difference can it really make? More importantly, to what extreme would you train for the sake of sport? (Rob E may be excused from this line of questioning) Beyond that again - what sort of jam in which you had a gun and the skill (and the need, God forbid) to use it would be better served by the ability to do six thousand pushups and run half a marathon? Many, and I mean many years ago I was on my local swim team. I was all that. Toned, fit, and tireless. All that never stopped me from being farking near crippled for two days following a spirited romp on a three quarter filled waterbed. For you pros in the WTF league or whatever you call yourselves - train if you will, but remember - you will not train for every situation.

But then again - duh - I'm not out saving lives with my superior tactical fitness and skill - sry.

For the record, I'll do up some grilled peppers, mushrooms and onions, with just a little olive oil to get them going. Chianti is a nice choice, but best for liver, or so I've heard.

And for something really random: h ttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljEC7HKbP0g&feature=related

Rules to live by:

Eat well, live well, train hard for whatever floats your boat, try to be fit rather than fabulous and just enjoy your life. Note that you never see fat people in old age homes though, so you might keep that in mind when you're slicing off that second slab of pecan pie.

Deprivation sucks.

Never mind the beef, how about some nice venison or perhaps a moose would be better to feed this crowd. i think beer for the appetizers, red wine for supper and either the single malt or cognac with the after dinner cigars.

I'm with Robbie. I have always been one to train hard, whether it was shooting, defensive tactics or tactics but I used to drink like a fish. I've really cut back on the empty calories of beer and my health has greatly improved. I still lift, run and eat right but booze was killing me.

I was waking up tired everyday, forgetting easy crap and just generally feeling crappy!

It's worth it to stay healthy!:)

Pass the pork rinds, Bob!:D

Wise words there Bob BUT the last thing this guy wants to do is lie in the hospital bed dieing of nothing. I mean what's that all about? Kind of a bummer really. Kinda like giving up, quiting in the middle of a maraton, you get my drift. Besides it isn't tactical.

The crowd on this thread are super tactical, and dieing of nothing is just not going to cut it. Obeisity, out of shape and alcohol induced liver disease maybe but dieing of nothing....never.

Take Care

Bob

September 1983. That was the last time I drank for about 23 years. Then a couple of years ago I decided I might like a beer with a great dinner occasionally, and now I enjoy A beer a whole lot more without the penalty of yakking up my stomach lining while clutching the bathroom floor and trying not to fall off the world.

Having said that; I'm sure something will take me out in due time. Not one for moderation in all things, I expect I probably won't die of bordom

All right guys. Fair enough. Pecan pie, beer guts, and well done beef aren't that tactical. I'll give you that. The jury, for the most part, seems out on the grueling physical training part. To take this to the next phase, it's clear to me that I'm going to stay up late tonight, scrutinizing every aspect of this post for more valuable information. But it's going to be tough to keep my edge...That's why I drink MONSTER HITMAN SNIPER ENERGY DRINK! Redbull be damned. You want tactical? I give you this.

Pfffft, I'm gonna out do you all, I'm gonna eat my rare steak, drink my beer and smoke my cigar WHILE playing Modern Warfare 2...yeah, I'll have to hide while I'm cutting my steak, but that's what "Cold Blooded" and claymores are for....lol

Just press the pause button, that is what I do, only my steak is medium well.
