I'm considering this/Boyd's wood/Black Feather RS. I like the SGA stock so I would use that if I went with the Black Feather RS. Does anyone have any experience with the Delta Force Chassis? How rigid are they? For a little more I can get the Black Feather, is it worth the money?

Any info appreciated,
-Thanks

Delta M14 chassis? The one Wolverine Supplies is selling?

I've played with one a bit, and for the $350 (ish) that it's selling for, it's priced about right. The BF is much more rigid and tougher and worth the extra cost, about double of the Delta. You get what you pay for. Both systems require a buttstock of some sort. The delta only takes Mossberg 500 stocks but the BF comes with the "standard" AR buffer thread, the Mossberg adapter is an extra cost iirc.

The Delta chassis is made from a polymer (plastic for lack of a better term) that is much better than the OEM plastic stock that comes with a M-305. It is more-or-less a drop-in fit, but some material needs to be removed under the reciever shelf and the connector lock would need to be swapped or filled (popsicle stock or devcon).

The Black feather is aluminum and requires a bit more mechanical ability to instal and set-up. Read the instructions 2x!

The Boyd's option is great if your looking for that "authentic" wood look. At about $225 deliver to your door it is the cheapest option of the 3. You will need to rob your stock metal from the OEM plastic (or wood) stock.

Personally, I like the look and feel of Walnut, but the BF is pretty much the cheapest option for a "real" chassis for us canucks.

I was looking at this because I'm a big fan of the Magpul SGA stock. The Archangel doesn't have that. That said, if that specific stock is not desired the Archangel may be worth a look.

The archangel is a different beast, IMHO.

The Delta is a stock replacement, with "modern" ergonomics. The Blackfeather is an aluminum "base" that can be made into a stock replacement or a chassis. The Archangel is a hybrid of both...... it is neither fish nor fowl. It is an awkward stock for field positions and does not lend itself to being carried and it is not "easily" converted to the purpose. It is a great platform used off the bench or from prone.

My $.02
