Any one have any experience with the Delta Stryker HD 3.5-21x44? looking for compact scope for sig cross or any orther suggestion as the Delta is the upper end of my budget.

Delta Strykers have superior glass to most. Ask members of the CanadianFClass team who picked Delta over all scopes regardless of price. We have sold Bushnell and now sell Delta, Nightforce, Kahles and Swarovski.

We have Sightrion S8 and Delta Stryker FFP 3.5-30 on ELR rifles. We just had a customer replace her Nightforce comp with a Delta Stryker.

Regards,

Peter

I have no experience with the other suggestion of the Bushnell Elite Tactical product.

As Peter (Hirsch Precision) states, there are many happy users of the Delta Strykers with probably the most common offering being the 4.5 - 30 x 56 (LRD-1T) FFP. Glass is exceptionally good and the reticle cleverly thought out and elegant simplicity rather than throw a crazy christmas tree at it as a complicated mess.

I have a number of the gen1 4.5-30. They are a great scope. I like the glass but I’m far from an expert and I also tend to like the cheaper Chinese scopes with Japanese ED glass. So take my taste in optics with a grain of salt! 😆I do however find my S&B scopes to be brighter etc. But they are twice the cost.

The only negative I have with mine are that the parallax knobs start out very tight, which makes adjusting a bit of a chore. But they loosen up a bit. Plus likely fixed in the gen2.

Delta Optics is a solid mid priced buy that gives you your money’s worth. I have Delta optics on a number of high end rifles and am very happy with them.

Japanese ED glass vs German/Euro glass: I generally find that each tend towards a slightly different school of thought/approach regarding lens coatings, brightness and colour. I think most will agree that Japanese glass often focuses on bright whiteness vs German glass focuses on colour distinction and contrast.

The Gen 1 4.5 - 30 x 56 Stryker had very narrow parallax adjustment (almost like a rimfire scope that the scope chassis was based off of). The Gen 2 changed the turret styles and the Gen 2.x (2020 version onwards) had a wider parallax adjustment refinement for better fine tuning.

I have the 5-50×56 DLS1 Stryker and like it. I use it for shooting Field Target. The reticle has 0.2 mil graduations for holdover. The glass is clear but this is the best scope I've owned so I've nothing to compare it to.
