Delta Stryker?

I own and use a Delta Stryker 5-50x56 in the Mrad reticle version. Turret clicks are very crisp, and in 0.05 Mrad which is really nice. I use it as a benchrest scope where those 0.05 Mrad clicks are appreciated. So far, I love it. No issues, no complaints.

But I have never used the highest priced scopes to compare it to.
Never had the opportunity to do a side-by-side comparison with other brands in the same price range.

They say in optics you usually get what you pay for. The Delta Stryker is a mid-range priced scope. I don't think the marketing ever pretended that it was somehow better glass or features than the elite $4K to $6K scopes.

For my needs and budget it is working quite well.

We recommend Richard Utting's reviews on Delta. Lots of other real comments. Might surprise those who haven't used them.

So anyone have any comparisons for this scope? Anyone have this and the Cronus? Price is about the same between the 2

I wanted to buy the Delta stryker after reviewing it on British sites as well as dark lord of optics.i swayed because I wanted moa so I went with cronus, then after shooting with a dmr nd match pro in Mmrad and finding I was comfortable with both I was kicking myself for not going delta.

FYI, Delta Styker and Athlon Cronus are fraternal twins... same Japanese factory. The chassis and operations are near identical.

Each has their leanings in appearance and markings... warranties differ.

Either scope will make you very happy.

For what it's worth...I own three of the Delta Stryker scopes..two of them are the 4.5-30Ă—56 ffp models with the LRD-1T reticle and the other one is the 5-50Ă—56 sfp model. I couldn't be happier with these optics...never had an issue with holding zero, all three track perfectly, and all three have great optics. I purchased the first one at Peter Dobson's ( Hirsch Precision) suggestion.I was originally looking at Nightforce or Kahles when Peter suggested looking at the Stryker...glad I did...no regrets. When I decided I was going to get into F-Class shooting, I was reassured about my choice of scope when I seen that two of this countries top shooters were also using 5-50Ă—56 Strykers. And both of these guys have the resources to use any scope they choose. I don't believe you'll be disappointed with the Delta.....I'm in the process of putting a .22 PRS rig together, and my choice of scope is going to be the Delta Javelin 4.5-30x 56. Good luck with whatever scope you buy.

Thanks for the all the input. I can get both for basically the same price. The cronus is looking a bit better due to the warranty. The 10 year warranty on the Delta is a bit of a turn off.

Ya I read that a few places now,

doing some LR optics comparison a couple of years back.

the same relationship is between the Athlon Ares ETR and the Delta Javelin... use the same factory, different country of origin. wonderful scopes

As a dealer for both Delta and Athlon, I can highly recommend these scopes vs anything on the market. The quality of optics, mechanicals, manf is very good and way less money then comparable tier 1 brands.

Very slight.. and it is really person dependent. I do a resolution test at 1035yds on a chimney... I am comparing detail that the average shooter wouldn't notice. Under that scrutiny is where I can see the slight differences between Tier 1 scopes and Athlon/Delta... then I move the test out to a cell tower at least 1 mile away.

For what the vast majority of shooters do, this new gen of ED glass will blow them away.... so pick the features and warranty you prefer and enjoy. This batch of new 34mm scopes are some of the best overall optics I have used. The fact that they are also affordable is an added bonus

Saying all that, Athlon has also upped their game in the HD lense products. At a way more affordable number, the Helos BTR Gen2 has raised the bar a bunch. I am now comparing this 34mm scope to the ED glass scopes....

FYI, I now only own the Athlon Ares ETR and Helos BTR G2 34mm options... I have been through the better options in the product line and each gen, improves tangibly over the last

and the price keeps falling.....

I believe the Trijicon TenMile line is essentially the same as the Delta Stryker, as was the Accupower? I have an Accupower 4.5-30. It's nothing to write home about. I'd love someone's feedback on differences between the two...

As I understand it, the Trijicon, Delta and Athlon and Tract all come from the same plant, Tract uses German Glass. Apparently the Apex comes from a different Jap plant, Zeiss V4 is apparently a Japanese scope with Zeiss glass in it.
I have the Delta stryker Gen2 4.5-30x56, can't ##### about it at all, bought it sight unseen, no regrets. The Gen3 they are selling now, apparently has upgraded parallax, remarked turrets. The 10yr warranty is no big deal, they are usually either good or bad right off the bat, and by the time 10 yrs rolls around, you usually either had your money's worth, or got rid of it. There are higher end scopes in other Euro brands that are 10yr warranties as well.
Also have a Tract 4-20x50 30mm PRS, also bought sight unseen, took a while to get, had to do some paperwork which they made really easy, but, was worth the wait, very well built scope with really good glass and a nice reticle. I wouldn't be reluctant to buy a 4.5-30 off them either, it'll just take a while to get one.
