Dented necks?

I have about 8 cases out of 70 that have six rectangular evenly spaced dents around the top of the neck. The shells are a mix of factory loads and reloads so I can not say if they were reloads or not. They are all once fired and of the 70 I would say 50 are ones I reloaded. It has been a while since I reloaded them but I can say that all case/oal measurements were good... As well as being well within the powder limits.
I tried to post pictures but I think I have to buy the 25$ membership?

You have too much case lube built up in your die. Clean it out.

Nice sharp corners on all the "dents" are factory crimp marks.

20 from the same box of ammo? i'm guessing no.....
some are crimped that way, some are not, if they sized OK there is nothing to worry about, cosmetic only. load and shoot!

Factory crimp on those. If you reloaded factory brass it may have still had the crimp marks.

Some of my 270 brass has them and some does not......all of it was factory brass.
