I just bought this High Standard, 3rd gen D101 double action derringer in .22 LR.
This thing would be perfect for potting grouse at 8 feet with .22 LR shotshells while deer hunting if not for our idiotic Canadian laws.
I'm trying to figure out how to render it compliant for transport and storage.
Storage at home in a safe is easy, it just needs to be unloaded but in cases where it needs to be rendered inoperable eg. transport, I don't think that a trigger lock would work.
Maybe a narrow cable lock through one of the barrels?
Any advice? It arrives next week and I am abroad so I can't check to see if my cable locks will fit down the .22 bore. I don't think that they will.
