Derya Mk10 v.106 - Coming Soon!!!

... I just wrote to O'Dell to see if such a config (fitted for chokes, CTR stock, ventilated handguard...) is in the import plans...

A gentleman from O'Dell Engineering' Sales & Marketing promptly answered me this:

... we are meeting with Derya at SHOT show and will bring up these design requests. We were already working on the internal choke request. They may need to change up their machines, but we do plan on making this change sometime in the future.

I cannot give a timeline, as it is the firearms industry, and things general don't move too fast.

Makes me optimistic it will happen. Dealers close to their customer base will likely follow up with O'Dell: it would make the shotgun multi-purpose, therefore easier to sell.

A shooting pal said a railed version allowing his own choice of sights/optic would make him fall for one. I like the idea too.

The sample one that I have handled and the info I received from Derya seems to be that the barrels are threaded to fit benelli chokes...it also comes with a flashhider and extension. And there are rails across the entire top as well as a small one underneath.

Also got a reply from Phil O'Dell himself:

"... Currently we are taking pretty much any configuration we can get from Derya but we have asked for some specific things going forward: The biggest as the internal choke thread and we couldn’t get it on this bunch and I am not sure we can on the next batch either but we are trying. That said the barrel itself has enough to allow for the installation of interchangeable chokes if you have a smith in your area that does it. I believe a Mobil Choke pattern will be coming in time, just not sure when. Hopefully very soon but we haven’t had confirmation.

We has also asked for the “Breecher” style muzzle device and we didn’t get those on this order so its a bit of an adventure opening the boxes! We have asked for some spare breecher tubes for the future.

One thing, the extension choke supplied does have enough metal to be threaded if you want to do that but keep the barrel original. It adds about 6” to the barrel length plus what ever your tube adds past the muzzle.

The stock supplied with our guns is adjustable for pull and also has an adjustable cheekpiece. There is also a folding stock adapter in the kit. The MOE was used for illustration of compatibility/interchange from what Derya has told us. They are not offered to us from the factory, probably due to the cost impact of going to the name brand unit. The butt tube will accept an aftermarket MFT or MagPul stock however so if you have one you can always put it on if you prefer it. There is a rumour of a “similar” unit available from an alternate supplier so we will certainly follow up and let you know. ...

Any way to find out what the thread size is on that extension piece? There may be some Hatsan shotgunner's that could use something like that.

Hard to Fork over 1100$ and wait 2 month when they retail in turkey for 700 Canadian with 10 round mags inc. I'm sure international shipping is faster than 2 Mo. :) Will wait to see what they sell for in the US.

BTW The video's on the Derya site show the product coming with a choke kit.

I picked mine up yesterday (as well as a Tavor) from Reliable Gun, hoping to try it out this weekend as I was away all last week.

Range report will follow. But it feels very solid and I'm impressed so far. 2rd mag is sticky but that can be worked out. They only come with 2 mags, not 3 as I've seen advertised in other media.
