Derya Mk12 - Misc. Questions

Took my new purchase to the range with slugs yesterday. After a strip down and cleaning/lube was excited to try it. Does everyone’s kick like a mule, or is it just me? My 870 comparatively kicks way less with the same loads. I would have thought the gas and spring system would have dampened it even more than an 870 supercell pad.

Maybe I’ll just have to toughen up....
 
I found they kick pretty hard too, when compared directly to the vepr 12 anyway. If its the only gun you use then you get used to it and dont notice it over time.
