DERYA MK12 - Trigger Upgrade

Will be watching this. I believe the height the hammer has to reach the firing pin vertically might be too high for an AR hammer so that probably rules out trigger AR packs.

The hammer would likely need to be heavy for the reliable ignition of shotgun primers.

The trigger could be changed out but without using the corresponding AR hammer the fit of the sear surfaces could be unreliable or unsafe.

Out of concern for liability one should stay away form attempting this.

Naturally I'm heading to my shop to look into this.

just got one of these, I don't think its a standard AR trigger at all. but, with that being said, drying firing it feels like a milspec+ triggger with no creep at all. just a smooth pull or rather, shotgun like heavy trigger that you pull thru all the way.

its BCG (of sorts) is very different from an AR, as its a short piston setup that does 12ga (and is ambi), so I highly doubt that light modification will work.

that said, I want to hit the range with it, I got 50 rounds of slug and hopefully that break it in enough to do weaker stuff, as I know that these things are a bit finicky starting out.

Yea I don't see any trigger mech parts from an AR fitting.

Have patience with it. I have bought 2 and each took between 100 and 200 shells to break in. Just don't get frustrated and give up.

I did the Polish work ... from over 10lbs bring down to 9 lish lbs, slightly more clean break but still very heavy to be a competition shotgun . Ordered a MKA1919 enhanced trigger try fit in , and it's not compatible. I took off some material from the tip of the trigger and polish , make big different with trigger bite to my finger tip. I will keep find a drop in trigger to this shotgun to make it competition ready.

MK12 stock trigger .

First time take it out for multigun open class match ... the trigger wasn’t run great !!! I will blame on the weak soft metal material of the trigger. It was after 300 rounds break in and some dry fire at home , the reset hook contacts surface wear out , created a groove and make it stuck .
I don't see Derya arms will support on this issue. I will take it apart and try polish the reset hook contact face.

Perhaps English isn't your first language, and thats ok, however it's difficult to understand exactly you're describing - it sounds like you've done some modifications to the engagement surfaces on the trigger. You should reach out to the retailer you purchased the shotgun from, or contact Odell Engineering, given they handle the warranty for all the Derya/MK12 products.
