Hey fellas, not sure why I bought one of these but anyways was wondering what kinda sights might be decent for one of these thing? I don't have any experience with red dots so i'm not sure I want to go that route? In fact I have very little experience with any shotguns especially semi auto. What would you guys recommend for a light kicking reasonably priced slug for targets that might cycle well? I've had it for a while but it hasn't left the safe yet.

Not sure about the slugs, but they all should cycle well. I have one of these and if you want to go with the red dot option, look into holosun.ca they are great and won't cost you almost what the gun costs! They have tons of great features! I have this mounted on mine right now.

Oh, and before you take it out, completely take it apart and clean all the preservative oil from everything! Especially the bolt guts! lightly oil the moving parts and put back together. Mine cycles everything I ever put into it from the cheapest target shells, to 3" slugs!!!!

Go have fun with it! It's a great gun!

They have been called "red dot killers" on CGN, TRS-25 seems to be popular. I am scared to put my EoTech on my 15sa, which has already killed 1 RDS. The gas cylinder is short and does a one inch punch on the working parts rather than a long push. So make sure everything is tight!

I got to try one clay pigeon shooting with a reddot (more of a ring) anyways damned thing impressed me. First time using a reddot on clay and didnt miss any of the ones thrown.

Oh, and you can get a 6" barrel extension for it that also accepts choke tubes to bump up the barrel length to 26". I got mine from t&t arms. Site sponsor. Works really well.

I've had an EoTech XPS2 on my Typhoon for the last two seasons. Works great, but I wouldn't have a 512 or 552 on it. They went to transverse mounted CR123 to soak up recoil as much as to save rail space...

I've has a Holosun 403C on my Valtro pump for 4 years and it is holding up well too.

You guys are all awesome! I really appreciate all the info and would like to buy you guys a beer if you're ever in the southern interior BC.
Now to figure out how these damn red dots work....

Focus on the target, don't look at the dot. Lower the gun to high ready, look at the target, bring the gun up, still looking at the target, the red dot shows up on the target and pull the trigger. Until you've done it for a while, it's easier to say then it is to do, since we're all taught from Day One to look at the front sight.
