Hi there. Picked up a Derya mk12 along with 50 rounds of S.B. 2 3/4” 1 oz slugs and 5 rounds of federal magnum slugs. I started with 5 S&B rounds and had to single shot them due to not enough pressure to chamber the following rounds.
Then I went to the 3” magnum shells, no prob, cycled beautifully, but then back to the S&B and wouldn’t eject/chamber after every shot.

Just curious to see other people’s experience with this shotgun and which loads work best, that won’t break the bank. I look forward to your input. Thanks!

Did you clean it first and lube it with sparingly with something that won't gum up in low temps?

All semi's can malfunction in low temps if not cleaned and lubed with good low temp oil/lube. New guns come coated with a preservative oil, not a lube and especially, not a low temp. lube. If you don't have any good stuff, just clean all the preservative off well and run it dry or with a very light coat of a very light oil and see how that works.

Which load piston were you using ?

The reliability will pick up after the gun is broke in. The break in will go quicker with heavy loads but even light loads will get it done inside 200rds.

Just don't give up and sell it.

Cheers

Thanks for input everyone. It took a full 50 round box of 3” magnum shells to fully break in but it runs SB 2 3/4” slugs like a dream now. Great gun!

I just bought an MK12 and found an old Ammo Supply Kate deal that I had tucked away...
