Hey everyone!
As a new license holder I've been really enjoying my CZ457 Premium and Mossberg 88 at the range. As I enjoy this new sport I am now looking to add a semi-auto to my hobby and to join some friends in IPSC Mini Rifle matches. Many seem to favour the Derya TM22 which I have just ordered taking advantage of a nice discount going on this weekend at the Firearms Outlet.

My proposed setup is a decent 1-4/1-6 LPVO scope (ILR) and a 45º offset red-dot. I'd be interested to know your personal setups and, most importantly, any recommendations for scopes and red-dots that you might have. My budget for each would be around $400 which I know doesn't get me the best but should get me to the point where I can then justify the investment in some better glass.

Thanks for any help you guys can offer to get me setup!

I would keep it simple with just 3X prism. Keeps the head position constant for near and far targets used for 22lr. I use a vector optics brand that works well. A primary Arms brand would also be good.

If you want something almost as fast as a red dot, that can also reach out for more precise shots at distance look into the Primary Arms SLX 1-6 LPVO with the NOVA fibre wire reticle.

Must be the NOVA, the other reticles do not have the same red dot like 1X performance.

They're about $500 bucks but if you snag one on sale or on the used market will be closer to $400.

I love this thing on my 22, and other guns too for fast shooting! Thinking of picking up a second one 🤔 It's that good for the price point!
