Hi, I'm new to guns so apologizes if some of my terminology isnt correct.
I purchased a derya tm22 about a month ago, and have gone shooting 4 times, each time trying to remedy my issue with no luck, I currently have about 300 rounds through it. I've read many favorable reviews about this firearm however my experiences have not been good so far.
First attempt:
ammo - norma tac 22
-shot it right out of the box, being a rookie I didnt clean it first
-constant failures to eject, casings getting crushed by the bolt (stove piping?)
-casings ejecting out of both left and right side of receiver
-I think I fired it out of battery once? the bullet was in the chamber, the bolt was forward, but the extractor claws were not engaged, I'm not sure if this bent them causing my current issue.
Second attempt:
ammo - norma tac 22 & Remington golden bullets
-did a full cleaning the night before and oiled everything, the action was very gritty prior to this
-exact same issues, failure to eject & failure for the extractor claws to engage when cycling
Third attempt:
ammo - CCI stangers
-cleaned and oiled the gun again
-removed the LH extractor claw
-same problems
Fourth attempt: (today)
ammo - CCI stangers and norma tac 22
-cleaned the gun prior to shooting
-removed the bolt and disassembled it and polished it, sanded all surfaces on a steel plate with 2000 grit and oil, and filed off any rough edges, then re blued it, the action definitely felt smoother
-LH extractor claw still removed
-The failure to eject problem was almost non-existent with the CCI ammo but not the Normas (they seem slightly greasy)
-The extractor claws will still not engage the bullet over half the time
-I also brought a can of aerosol gun spray and tried lubing the crap out of it as last ditch effort, it made no difference besides a big mess
So as of right now to shoot the gun, I can chamber a round and shoot it, then I have to pull back on the charging handle about half way to ensure the extractor claw is engaging the bullet, every time I do this the gun will fire. About 50% of the time I check the bullet is in the chamber but not engaged in the extractor claw, I will have to half rack it a few times until it engages then I can fire. The gun essentially is a single shot at the moment. I have some dummy rounds, and if i load them in the mag and rack the bolt multiple times I have 0 problems, its cycles perfectly, however I have not tried this with live ammo as i feel that is unsafe to do in my home.
Currently when I pull back on the charging handle (unloaded) it feels stiff about half way through the travel and then loosens up again, I think this is part of the problem, and possibly caused by tension from the little bar that feeds a new round?
To me I feel like the problem is the bolt not having enough forward power to properly go into battery. I believe the tight spot half way through the action is leading to this, I also think more spring tension on the bolt would help, as well as trying to replace the RH extractor claw spring with the LH spring as it is quite a bit lighter.
I would appreciate any feedback into getting this gun to function, its basically a piece of crap lol. I'm not to heart broken over it, its cheap. I think the most rounds I have got to fire consecutively is 3 and I'm not paying a gunsmith 125$ an hour to fix a 500$ gun, I also have no interest in pursuing warranty as I read it has recently changed to being handled by north sylva which does not sound favorable.
Thanks!
