Does anyone have experience with the Derya TM22?

Looks like a pretty affordable .22 pinker, however, cost of magazines and the safety bother me.

Any other suggestions of AR based .22lr rifles?

I am looking for something relatively affordable.

Its not really a big deal that you have to take the top off to clean. You can easily have it fully disassembled in 2 minutes or less. Its a great gun, I have about 1600 rounds through mine. Its very accurate for a semi auto .22lr. The only issue is its a little picky. You must keep it clean and run CCI ammo for it to run perfectly.

Which one? The regular, aluminum TM22 or the Feather one? I posted my personal assessment of the Feather here: https://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/threads/armscor-derya-tm22-feather.2438899/. All in all, it's a great carbine. It's now available from IRUNGUNS in their Canadian warehouse. Although, the color is not really very attractive. But the price is still very good.

I really like mine. Glad I got in on the dlask barrel. Obviously the aftermarket can never complete with a 10/22, but nice to have a shorter barrel.

The gun has been flawless for me.

I have one and i love it. Its pretty easy to take apart. 25 round mags can be purchased from irunguns.ca for i believe a total of 2 were like $75. Comes with 2 mags at the start 10 rounders. It uses Ar style pistol grip and buttstock so can be swapped pretty easily. You dont need to take the optic off depending on where you put it. The featherlite can be purchased from irunguns as well for really cheap but i have the regular one. For me it loves CCI minimags and ive put probably almost a thousand rounds through it since i bought it a few months ago.

Forgot to mention. I can get a very good group with cci at 25 and 50 yards. And have slowly starting to get better at 100yards if you are looking to be around in the range. But also very good for plinking at multiple targets as well.

Because its turkish made the longevity of the firearm is somewhat doubtful at least in comparison to a North American firearm
Do you think parts will be readily available for the current model after the warranty expires?
They sell because of the price point and they look trendy.
Will this model make further inroads into the already crowded semi-auto 22lr market?, likely not, mainly because the Turkish manufactures don't support most of their products long term, they seem to rely on their major distributors to carry the ball.
Some of the design choices on this firearm are both unique and odd.
Personally I own the latest model and like it, how well it serves me long term is questionable but time will tell.
I can always buy a second one as a backup or for spare parts.

Just came back from SK after a 5 day gopher shoot, 800 rounds per day fired on average. The only hiccups experienced were dirty followers and a broken charging handle on one rifle. Second year for this rifle and same punishment. Comfortable to shoot, I like the safety, accurate out to 75 yards (or more). No complaints.
