I bulk buy the Aguila Extra Velocity Super Extra when it goes on sale. I will buy like 5k rounds for about 7.5 cents a round. It's a lot more friendly on the wallet than mag dumping CCI mini mag rounds.

I’ve run probably close to 10,000 rounds of CCI Mini mags thru mine in the last 3 years, absolutely no problems with it whatsoever. It’s been run all day long non stop at club days for kids shoots, ladies days etc and mini mags have never failed

Yup. Minimags are pretty much the gold standard in 22lr. Aguila super extra work too (although they are soooo dirty), I just had a few more issues with them than minimags.
For example, in two 25rnd mag dumps I had 3 failures with the Aguila Super Extra. One in the same 50 round dual mag dump test with the minimags (36 grain). As a note on the high end, the CCI velocitors had zero issues in well over 100 rounds while the worst was fedral blue box 40grn HV which was a complete hot mess. Couldnt get through 5 rounds without an issue on the fedral blue box HV... so many failures to fire.
But these are just my findings... your mileage may very

Will be fine. Mini Mags are actually recommended by derya for the tm22.
So a question to TM22 owners…I just got mine and noticed if I pull the trigger when it is out of battery the hammer will drop.
Is this normal for this rifle design?
I took it out of the box and overall I’m impressed with it but while initially playing with it the bolt was as delivered with a chamber flag installed and without thinking I depressed the trigger and got a very distinctive click and a dead trigger until I cycled the action and then it would reset.
Seems if a cartridge was there it would have been partly in the chamber and partly exposed/unsupported.
Shouldn’t the trigger mechanism be blocked until it’s in battery?
Or is this normal function on this platform?
Am I missing something or does this rifle have an issue?

Many rifles and shotguns allow the hammer to be released while the gun is out of battery. The safety factor is that many bolt assemblies (e.g. AR15) are shaped so that the falling hammer cannot reach the firing pin for a full strike unless the bolt is in battery position.
I believe the TM22 bolt assembly is also shaped with this safety factor

Had my new TM22 Flash out to the range for the first time today. Have to say I'm pretty impressed. My third string group was under a nickel at 15 yards, not bad for a plinker with flip up aperture sights. A few observations:
- 100 rounds mix of CCI mini mags 40 hrn and Champion bulk, no issues.
- I gave her a squirt of WD 40 into the receiver before heading out. Semis love that stuff. Yes, I realize others won't use it. Didn't have time to pre-clean and lube.
- the vertical trigger takes some getting used to but it's reasonably good once you catch on to the take up.
- I really like the safety... very positive, short throw but it bears watching as it's easy to switch to "fire".
- the supplied sights are crappy. The front post was leaning. I took them off and put on some Feyachi F/O BUIS. Will eventually mount my Redfield red dot/ laser.
- the mags will be hard on the fingers for us old arthritic guys. I loved the spring assist ones on my GSG 15.
So, yeah I'm still grieving the sick Justinization of my GSG 15, but this will be a fun replacement. For 330 bucks you can't really beat it!

I didn't know they were making these so thanks for the tip. I use the magLula one for 9mm. Will order the TM22 one from TNA tomorrow!
