Derya tm22 vs savage 64 precision

Looking for opinions on a 22lr to take to range to go plinking with. Range has 25/50/100 yrds.

Looking at either the Derya tm22 or the savage 64 precision. What are y’all thoughts between these two semi autos.

In my experience the Savage 64 kinda sucks. Haven't played with the tm22 but I would buy one of those over a 64.

For semi autos I like Marlin 795s (have two), and I've been playing with a Winchester Wildcat that I'm quite fond of as well. I'm a big fan of last round hold opens, which both of these have.

I have 2x 64s and when I had a 3-9x40 duplex scope on one I got 1/2 - 1" at 50. Now a 4x on one for hunting and a red-dot on the other for plinking. I'd get a precision but I have much better guns for better accuracy. Marlin 60, Sav B22, 2x CZs.

I like the 64s, but I wouldn't buy one for precision stuff. It's accurate enough for the kids to blast away at shorter distances, and I have two older 64s that worked as gopher guns.

It's one of those guns that's great if a relative hands you one for free or you find it for $50. Otherwise there are better, newer designs.

I have an old Cooey 64 somewhere around here, I haven't fired it in 2 decades I don't think. I should put it back together and see how it does.

Stock trigger on the Derya is decent, accuracy more-so. The Savage 64 is a reworked Cooey 64B, they work but are somewhat crude. Adding the word "precision" to this rifle is like saying your Mom's 2004 Malibu is rare.

Savage 64 "Precision" vs 2004 Chevy Malibu "SS"... like trying to pick up a turd from the clean end.

I've heard other people say the derya trigger is decent, mine is not. I don't need a high end trigger in every firearm, I can adapt and get used to just about any. That is really my only real gripe about the rifle though.
