Desert eagle flame thrower

personally, i think all he should do is adjust the shutter shorter
i dont know what iso he used or f-stop.... but at 2.5sec, i would drop it to say 1 second and increase the fstop a little, no more than 2or3 stops. darken up the blacks, ease in some detail in the middle of the fireball (if there is any to reclaim) i dont think the change from 2.5/1 sec will do anything for exposure, but i do think it will help eliminate any noise there might be. i just feel it should overall be darker with less hotspot. but im viewing on a calibrated lcd...

just wondering.. i hear lots about calibrated LCD's... why not spend that money and get a good tube Monitor? As far as I know they are vastly superior for color and contrast reproduction.

desk space, and i liek to leave it on all the time. power consumption and burn in add up. While i do agree, the crt is DEFFINATLY better than any lcd i have seen, ours are good, but still a cheap crt will look better. Its all in the blacks. Though i do find i get more similar output from my printer using a (calibrated) lcd, than a crt.

How about (assuming his camera is an slr) put it on a tripod, set it in bulb mode, press the shutter release, holler shoot and when the flame is gone, release the shutter button.

I'm deeply disappointed at how much less impressive a mere .45 is by comparison to your flamethrower!

Still a neat photo, mind you - I particularly like the ejection path and the little "mushroom cloud" at the end of the barrel.

Ahh, who am I kidding? It's no use! MUST... GET.... BIGGER... GUN.... ;)

Thanks for all the interest and comments. This was factory Samson Ultra with 300 grain bullet. I reload with 300's and 31.1 grains of H110 powder. I will try that next Thursday and see what happens. The book says I can pack in 33.7 grains! Sooooo maybe I'll try one......or two of that load.

the 45 photo is just not taken at the right time... try again.... try video recording ang going frame by frame for the best image (same with the DE)
