Desert Eagle need help

I bought a DE 44 mag 24k gold for my first handgun and i love it, it's been reliable and very accurate, a keeper for sure...
Go for it... JP.

i bought a 357 eagle as my first gun, the reason i even got my license LOL. only regret is that i didnt get the 50AE. dont waste your time with the 44 or 357. get the 50AE.

BTW they are garbage guns, very touchy on grip. hold it wrong and it will jam one way or another. also they beat themselves apart. dint get too get too upset when it breaks, cause it will.

Go big or go home... I like your style bro. And don't listen to the haters, shoot what you want and have fun :)

Yeah. Do the .50. I love mine, but indeed, it is a finicky gun. I constantly have to tighten the safety, because it shakes itself apart. Put a scope on it for a laugh - shook it apart. Expensive, heavy, totally unnecessary, and makes me happy.

Just like my Harley, come to think of it.

Dam that gold look nice but I'm going to In grave my grandparents nick names on the sides of the barrel then fill it with some Hightemp red or white paint so black is the way to go.

im autistic i cant spell or do math or much of anything really being afraid of people sucks too but i still try to smile every day and be my self not what the "normal" people want me to be and if being normal means being a jerk to others ill be abnormal any day of the week thank you sir and pls have a nice night

but i know old rifles wood and iron all the way

If you want this gun, don't let others discourage you. My first two handguns were a 500 S&W and a 10 MM, closely followed by a 460 S&W and a 44 magnum. 50 firearms later, these are still some of the most enjoyable firearms to shoot. If you change your mind after the fact, you can always sell it.....GD

If you want it, go for it, it's your money. I have a black 44 DE and I like it. It's big, almost clownshoe big and slow, but still fun.

For gits and shiggles I bought a bladetech holster for it and have taken it out to IPSC practise a couple of times. It was fun trying to double tap that mother.

Reloading is pretty much mandatory even for a 44 and more or less a must for 50AE. I've found a nice load that cycles well that's fairly close to the upper end of the range for that bullet/powder combo. It needs fairly hot loads to cycle that huge hunk of steel, so be prepared.

Bought a case of HSM 305 gr Bear loads years ago and it has become my DE thumper ammo, this ammo is incredible and the heavy DE is shooting them wits minimal recoil...
Who need a 50 when you got those Bears loads...
Huge fun factor and head turning pistol/ammo combo... JP.

I saw those at ammosupply - yes thumpers for sure. Wish I picked up some just to try. 240 gr american eagle works fine in mine. given its weight, the DE is a soft shooting 44

Best advice I got when looking for my first pistol was to get the one I wanted the most. If we only made rational purchases we'd all drive Subaru Foresters and men's bicycles would have the slanted top cross bar.

while it held for the first couple of 100 rounds on my DE, my safety screws would loosen every session so I had to use purple lock tite. After going through a warranty claim on a simple part with lousy service from one of the 2 or 3 authorized Canadian wholesalers, I will now do my research on which wholesaler brought the gun into Canada as they are your point of call for warranty service. If you can ask the retailer who brought it in do your research on this forum and others to get a sense of that wholesalers customer service reputation.

Keep in mind that the wholesalers do have challenges with respect to supply and import permits as well, so there will always be two sides of the story.

My intent is not to bash a wholesaler but to offer a lesson learned for me.
