Desert Eagle Recoil Spring Same In All Calibers?

So I just purchased a 50 AE barrell for my XIX 44 Mag desert eagle. From all the research I've done, apparently the only thing you have to change is the barrell and the magazine. The bolt is the same between the two calibers. The odd thing I found is that the recoil spring between the .357 .44 & .50 is the same? How does the 50 AE not rip the slide right off using the same spring as a .357 magnum? Anyway if anyone can find me some evidence showing something different, please let me know. I got my references from the magnum research website.

well being gas operated rather than recoil operated probably has something to do with it

I asked irunguns.com to find me a 50AE barrell and they did at. Decent price too.

You made my point, most of the reliability problems I've read about the DE are with the .357 model, particularly with factory ammo, just not enough pressure to cycle the gun properly.

Yea I've heard the 357 needs very specific ammo. I'll probably just stick with the .44 and can't wit to get my .50

Yup got to remember this is a gas operated action. Use H110 and no problems and great light show.
