  • No, but it could have been handled better, and I’ve hunted hogs in dense scrub like this; I know!

I didn't know hogs could take so much damage. It looked like it would've survived the first shot if they hadn't shot it more.

He made that animal suffer for quite a while - that's no way to hunt, in my opinion. If he was that close, he had ample opportunity to take it down quick.

I'm no hunter, but I remember being told once to treat your game with respect, but I guess that isn't the case everywhere...

They looked like Oklahoma State University Fraternity Brothers. Yes, they co*ked-up the whole hunt, and he should have delivered the kill shot about 30 seconds earlier than he did, but, with that said, the animal was put down within a minute of the first shot. I've heard of worse.

The thing is, I just can't stop laughing at the first part when he shoot that pig in what appears to be "the a**!" That hog jumps up and almost give a "OH NO YOU DIDN'T" response. I'm a sick man. LMAO! Don't get me wrong though; It's a terrible example of how to hunt, and those boys embarrassed the heck out of themselves and did almost everything wrong, but I just can't stop laughing at that couple of seconds. I'm sorry. I'm sick. LOL. Maybe it's the understanding of the adrenaline on both sides. You know, like how when you're scared many people tend to laugh, etc.

P.S. Yes, that was a "WILD" hog. I have hunted several of them. There is no doubt about that. They are common as all get-out in Texas, and some of the most dangerous hunting you can do here. They have been known to kill and eat people; no lie. You have to try and control them because they damage property and eat all the winter peas, etc. thereby starving the deer herds out. They are a nucience animal, and breed like rabbits. You must control their numbers. It's necessary, and humane, but of course, this vid is an example of how NOT to go about it. I'm just trying to point out, for those that don't know, that thinning them out has to be done for the sake of the other animals on your property, and to keep them from tearing up your property too.

Problem is pigs have a small brain relative to the size of their head. If you miss the brain a head shot won't even knock them off their feet all the time. Same thing with most animals.

At that range, a handgun was the best option. A rifle would have over penetrated. I've got no issue with them handgun hunting with a .50cal in dense scrub like that. Also, it is legal here. They just did a very sloppy job. A 12 Gauge Slug might have been ok, but Hog sculls are thick. No, they had a proper firearm for the job. I've got no problem with the weapon that they used, just their lack of professionalism in execution.

Big hog, but I found it disturbing. Idiots too busy trash talking each other to finish off the animal quickly and humanely will always be bottom of the totem pole in my books, I don't care if they just set a world record. Any "hunter" who needs to be told by someone else to else to finish off his animal because it is suffering deserves a kick in the balls.

I think we all agree that these boys need to be shown how to hunt properly, and to show the proper respect. I understand that it's a given, but what is done is done. Can we just comment on the "so awful it's funny" side of the equation, because uncomfortable or not, it is "there." I dunno. It's sad, and I would have slapped those boys and taken the pistol from there had I been there, but it's also "funny-sad." (and what's done is done ultimately; hopefully they learned from the experience so it's not a total waste.) LOL. Keep in mind folks, ferral hogs, and boars are mean motherf*ckers that tear things up like you can't believe and kill off all the other game animals, and if cornered can and WILL kill you AND eat you; bones and all. They are not the "cute farm pigs" that most are familiar with.

Thats the dumbest hunting scene ive ever seen the guy is 8feet away from his "target", shoots it like 6 times thn when he sees it suffering/smoking he asks his friends if he shoould finish it or not... what a great hunter he already shot it 6 times and wonders if he should waste one more bullet.. afterall this ammo aint cheap... i dont know about you guys but it usually take me 1 bullet max 2 to put down a deer

is it just me or that guys a turd

That's a cross bred feral hog. They are as tough as nails. I'm not surprised it took several shots.
I shot one in the forehead with a .410 slug, then as it turned to run, I pounded it again through the boiler room. I still had to chase it down 200 yrds and finish it off.

Oh god, the PC Police are in force. You can't ever laugh at something you're not supposed to anymore. I'm sorry I posted this now. I'm sure PETA will be along shortly.

WAY f**kING COOL!

I'm into shooting animal just to make them suffer (or whatever else pisses you're humorless, PC ___ off.)

For every animal that you don't shoot, just to watch suffer, I'm gonna' shoot 3! ;)

(God, lighten up people! That pig suffered for all of about 50 seconds; jeesh! It's not like they stood around and had beers and watched it bleed out.)

First of all, this is NOT a wild hog, it is rather an adult domestic pig.

The whole thing is, like many said already, very disturbing.
You could with right call it cruelty to animals...

this f...king Idio.s of hippie hunters should be locked up for good.
