28 Canadians that have hunted feral hogs in dense scrub; not bloody likely! Bunch of liars! Canadians hunt wolves, bears, elk, deer, geese, and Elsinore Beer; that's it. They also cry a lot about "injustice" and "global warming" but only because some of them are women. Never forget; most of the Canadians in the Toronto area descend from former Americans, who didn't have the balls to break with the Crown! Losing bet; the weak stock! The only strong Canadians emigrate to the U.S., and ride the pig! The rest will stay behind, and whine about their lack of gun rights, without a hint of irony or a medocium of self-actualizing, self respect.

Once again we see that some people react negatively to video of an animal being shot. For those who are concerned about the cruelty aspect of this particular hunt, consider how much time elapsed from the first to the last shot. How far had the hog travelled? Given the range at which the hog was shot, and the thickness of cover, few guns are as prudent as the powerful handgun. While a bang flop would be preferable, it didn't happen that way, but it was not as a result of poor marksmanship or an inappropriate firearm. I saw nothing in the video that would lead me to believe that the hunter intentionally tormented the hog. He held his fire until he had a good shot and that shot put the hog down, but being the tough customer that it was, it took a bit more for the hog to be convinced of its change in status.

Conversely, when an animal dies in nature, it tends to die hard, and much time passes before the end. Neither predation or disease are kind to a big powerful animal.

To me it looks like a bunch of guys blasting away at a pig. Pig doesn't seem overly concerned, combining that with the fact that it's video from an outfitter ranch, I'm guessing it's a canned hunt?

I dunno. Why not take the time and put it down properly? Sure, it goes down quickly, what wouldn't at that range from what... seven .50 handgun rounds?
Yah, it's also possible it's a pest down there, and just really didn't care about the people there.

I know it's easy to critique from the internet, but hell, a fat guy unloading a mag into a pig isn't exactly good press. I'm sure I'll get crucified for my opinion, but to heck with it.

... this guy knows NOTHING about Canadian hunters - didn't even mention moose!

Oh, and on the subject of beer, did you know there is ALCOHOL in Canadian beer? Worth hunting for.

I've hunted real russian boar w/ a BB gun, sorta like catch and release hunting. They are not very dangerous if you don't corner them, or try to catch them. Farm raised 'feral hogs' are never very wild- 'hunting' them would just be a matter of putting them down. No big deal.
