Desert Eagle

I'm sure any gun store who deals handgun can get them. I find them quite apart in the appearance side. Shot my best handgun group ever with a .44 one, i don't know if they are all this accurate. Guess their downside is they are so damn big & heavy, maybe i'm a girly man  But even next to my Mark 23 (big gun too) it still looks like a monster.

There are also reliability issues. It's a rotating bolt design, gas operated..has to be kept immaculately clean to avoid cycling problems.
A friend soaks it in varisol every 100 rounds or so to keep the crud off.
I'll never buy one, but I must admit, it's fun to shoot. The noise and flame always bring a smile to my face.

Yeah i've heard about this one, it shouldn't use lead bullet either, polygonal rifling. I'm like you, i won't buy one either; its way too big and heavy for me to enjoy more than a few shots, but handguns that big & powerful are so spectacular to shoot. :D

Just put on that gold tiger stripes finish, a real pimp gun!

I find there's more recoil shooting my s&w mod. 29 .44 mag. than my 50 eagle. Not hard to hold on to at all for me. First day I shot off 60 rounds with not one problem (other than the cost of brass) try the 50 s&w, I have one of these too, it pushes strait back and feels like someone smacking you in the palm with a stick. Very easy to hold though and I now have a gel glove for my shooting hand so no more problems.

If I would ever get one it would be in .44mag. I’ve shot a DE in .50 and .44mag back to back and there isn’t much difference. Maybe 5-10% more recoil with the five O...

But .44mag is MUCH cheaper and easier to find. If you reload you can shoot a box for the price of factory 9mm. ;) .50 will be a few $ per shot!!!

And of course .357mag is for girls :p

Well i was looking up some info on factory loads, and the .50 AE acctually shoots about 30% faster and with about 30% more torque than the .44. I don't know, i've never shot one and you have, but thats just what i've read.

Yea and i'm not really into reloading but i think my dad was talking about picking up an old press of my uncle's so we'll see what happens. I definately would not mind saving a few $$$:D :D :D

if you load with H110 (which is what is I shot IIRC) the difference is pretty small. Factory .44mag is pretty mild ;)

Factory is very mild. Last week I shot a friends reloads and factory. I'm not sure what he uses for powder, but damn, this thing had a major kick relative to the factory ammo, and such a beautiful flame to boot..
