dont know if this is new or old news.. all i can say is i just found out about them and am now in love . if i can get one to NZ then i will be

New Zealand?! Holy cow...

Yeah - saw this a while ago and was actually in touch with the owner. He's trying to find an importer here in Canada. Once I'm *serious* about buying one I'll see if I can get someone to bring one in... they look pretty sweet.

Yeah they look pretty good. I'm told when they come out they plan to have them retail for around 3k USD. They come with a 1/2 MOA guarantee I believe.

I like the look of the 338 the best, but if I ever get one, it'd be in .308.

Yes it comes with a .5 moa guarantee ,I talked to the owner at Shot Show nice guy very informative in the end it is an inexpensive copy of the DSR1 which BTW is guaranted to deliver .25 moa accuracy and can deliver .17 moa. There is an DSR1 dealer in Australia I believe that you would have an easier time getting one from Australia than getting export permits from the US

we dont have any probs with the bullpup design here in nz.. bolt action means its all legal..
if you hit the shotshow link on the main page theres a pic of the team holding 3 different examples of the rifle.. the 2 in .308 ( short barrell ) look better to me, with the flash hider and the suppressor, but that .338 would be a treat for sure

how long is the 308 in mm

it would be nice to play with one before spending about $4000

to work the bolt ect as it seams close to your face

and in the vids on you tube they jump aboud alot when shooting them

i might just inport 1 for Fenix.NZ then deside if i like it :):dancingbanana:

what you think Fenix.NZ

Cool looking gear. I wonder if it's prohib because of the bullpup design?
;)
Follow along this should help you out
Is it a semi auto ?
Has a barrel less than 18.5 inches?
Has an overall length of less than 26 inches ?
Can it be fired when the stock is removed ?

If you answered Yes to all of the above it is restricted

If you answered NO to all of the above it is Not Restricted

If it a bolt action, it would be register as a rifles!

Dame that look nice, Now who going to bring it in?

Caliber change in a Minute, There Go My Saving!...

I've just look at this wonder.
My wife wants it !
She said it's a girl's rifle !!!!!

We do need a cannuck importer for this one, period.
At 3600$, it is a good price for this type of product.
Well done.

Yeah - I was about to say it has more to do with barrel length (which can be longer in a bullpup with keeping the OAL shorter) than anything...

Have to admit. I like it. This looks like it could be a lot of fun.
If they're allowed to be exported to Canada, I would definately consider one. Not sure about the 338 though. A bit pricey in the ammo department. But then again I already have a few .308s so I guess the 338 would be the only way to justify a new toy :).

308 would be the one, the other one would be 6.5X55 if they make the barrel, it would use the same bolt face...

Cool looking rifle but is the bullpup layout going to cause issues when you need to run that bolt in a hurry.

Also, concussive pressure from that brake when the 338LM might cause some grief. However, you can have a very long barrel and still keep it standard/shorter in length which is a huge bonus.

Would have been perfect if a semi with that level of accuracy.

Funny, you should mention that. I asked the question to one of the company owners (SR90 @ snipershide.com) with regards to the bolt operation. I wondered if you had to lift your head off the stock in order to cycle the bolt back. They indicated that you didn't have to lift your head but when you look at several of their promo videos floating around, the rifle operator continuously does so. Go figure.

Don't laugh but it gets worse.

I tried 'running the bolt' and I couldn't do so without ALSO moving the rifle FORWARD. My elbow/wrist doesn't bend far enough to work the bolt. Try it.

The 338LM would have a long bolt throw which makes this problem even worse.

One shot one kill is dandy but they include a high cap mag for a reason. Sometimes, that overwatch is the only person keeping their heads down and you don't want to be dancing around working a bolt cause you saved 4".

Bring it as a SEMI ie more accurate Barrett without the price tag of an AI, and you have my attention.
