2015 can't come fast enough!
Double goodness now that I have read they are convertible between 308/223!:)

If you look at TV Press Pass's post #1, in the mag area, you can see how the 223 and 308 mags sit in the same magwell.
Some more trivia info:

Euro Optic’s website has released pricing on the Desert Tech MDR rifle. It looks like conversion kits in .223 and .308 may be available on release, priced at $657.03 and $950.00, respectively. Phil Note: The prices listed are for the conversion kits as Nathan listed.

The MDR rifle itself will retail for $2450 in .308 and $2150 for the .223. These prices are subject to change prior to release

I'd honestly like to start calling 2010-2018 the Golden Age of Bullpups. Woke up to this in the inbox this morning:

At Desert Tech, we make the rifles of the future designed and built to operate in advanced tactical scenarios. We do not, however, make the arbitrary, often archaic, firearm laws that may or may not restrict your ability to own the Micro Dynamic Rifle (MDR) in your particular part of the planet.

If the more compact, more versatile, more enlightened MDR renders your local laws impotent or even obsolete then so be it. The most anticipated new firearm of 2015 will be available at a dealer near you soon enough, measuring in at a federally appealing 27-inch overall length with an equally pleasing 16-inch barrel.

For those of you keeping score at home, that’s nine, ten, maybe even eleven inches shorter than the AR15 you’ve been hanging onto for sentimental reasons but still a full inch longer than SBR requirements. For most of you reading this, that means you get the MDR as pictured in all the upcoming, tacticool magazine covers, perfectly legal and painstakingly lethal for paper targets across the USA.

For the rest of you in less freedom-loving parts of the world, we present the 19-inch barrel, which exceeds the Restricted Weapon barrel requirements north of us (you’re welcome Canada), exceeds the overall length requirement for those down under (you’re welcome Australia) and even meets the Assault Weapon restriction to those just left of the politburo (you’re welcome California).

MDR-Barrel-Length.jpg

With a 19-inch barrel, the MDR stretches to a 30.12-inch profile give or take a pinned muzzle break or second amendment semi-colon, making it readily accessible and more universally acceptable.

Let’s walk it off together with that nifty 19-inch barrel in hand.

Canada requires an overall length of 26 inches or more (check) and a barrel 18.5 inches or longer (check).

Australia requires an overall length of at least 29.5 inches (check, mate).

California requires a 30-inch or more overall length (проверять).

And try to remember that you’re dealing with Desert Tech, the rifle builder making the most compact, most versatile systems on the planet so, yes, the MDR and the MDR-C are built on the same chassis and the longer MDR forearm easily converts into the shorter MDR-C forearm (just like our SRS and COVERT sniper rifles) and vice-versa and the 16-inch and 19-inch MDR barrels can be used on the MDR-C.

Check. Check. And Check.

For the record, when we begin MDR and MDR-C distribution, conversion kits will be available as follows:

Barrel in 5.56 chambering: 10.5-inch | 16-inch | 19-inch

Barrel in .308 chambering: 16-inch | 19-inch

Magazines for 5.56: Standard M16 size (multiple round capacities) and PMAG compatible.

Magazines for .308: Standard SR25 size (multiple round capacities) and PMAG compatible.

seeing the quality produced by DTA/DT even at a higher price than the tavor It is a clear winner IMO

the caliber conversion 308/7.62x39 is just another nail in the other brands coffins.

Nice looking rifle. What types of mags are those? It would be a shame if it isn't compatible with AR mags.
Post #1 at bottom of the poster pic states:

Magazines for 5.56: Standard M16 size (multiple round capacities) and PMAG compatible.

Magazines for .308: Standard SR25 size (multiple round capacities) and PMAG compatible
