Desert Tech Owners

I’m also shooting a M2, my third SRS so far and definitely enjoy this one the most. Such a versatile system that no other manufacturer can touch as long as you can get along with the ergonomics of it all. Personally I love it, shooting a traditional bolt gun almost feels weird now. I also picked up a SAC 223 kit, 26” 1:7.7tw. Haven’t shot it yet, but hopefully soon. Being able to go from 223 to 338L in a single platform is amazing.

And here’s the latest setup with the 223 kit, 22” 308 barrel and a 26” desert tech 338 barrel. And a new ckyepod lightweight.

I should also mention that I have a Patriot Valley Arms prefit barrel on order through GoBigTactical. PVA is the only company that I know of that makes a prefit for the SRS. I also bought PVA’s barrel extension socket and a barrel vice so I can swap my own extensions, obviously the prefit doesn’t come with a new extension.

Ordered a 28” 1:9 twist 30-06 medium Palma.

Nice to have another option, I’ll post my impressions when it shows up.

I knew they would machine a blank, didn’t know they sold extensions though. Insite is a great option, I’ve had their barrels in the past and they do great work. Mostly wanted to try out the Osprey PVA prefit because they are $960, definitely the best deal we have if you’re willing to swap your own extensions.

Wellllll, nevermind! Waited for 4 months then got an email from gobig that PVA would no longer make the barrel and gobig was no longer going to do business with them at all. Something happened there, not sure what, but it looks like PVA is no longer an option unless someone else picks them up as a Canadian distributer. Really frustrating because now I have to go another route and start all over again.
