reliable gun is importing desert tech as well nowI just got notification from Desert Tech that they have 2 Canadian dealers/importers. Both are sponsoring members...Ellwood Epps and Calgary Shooting Centre. I was told that the Canadian dealers should have pricing available to them in a little over a week.
why would I specifically ask about the covert with it's 18" barrel if I wanted a longer barrel?Get a longer barrel won't be an issue. I have a custom 30" lapua on mine

what is wrong with the factory barrel?, just curiousMind if I ask who made you a custom barrel? Did you import it out of the states? I want to pick up an SRS-A1 and was thinking of contacting a Canadian barrel maker, maybe Bob Jury, and see if someone up here would be able to help us with new barrels.

desert tech sells the chassis and caliber kit seperately, so if. You buy a chassis and source your own barrel, where are you getting the bolt from? I would confirm if desert tech will sell seperately first.Nothing at all, most reports indicate that the factory barrels shoot great. But with the dollar where it's at it might be cheaper to buy a barrel extension and have someone up here put it together rather than import a barrel from the states.
very compact long range hunting ifleQuestion:
Why would anyone who's not an operator want a covert?? There's some pretty significant speed loss there, no??
