refinished my Canam 1911A1 sport, Duracoat Dark Earth and Tactical Flat Black.

You have to have a good air brush. I sandblasted every part and then degrease with Acetone. Once applied it's takes 24hrs to cure before you can do anything with it. If you leave the parts in a very warm room with a fan going it will speed up the curing process. I am not satisfied with the slide so I will be doing it over again.

This is the plan so far but I'll post pics when it is complete in about a month +

1) STD Norc Commander 1911C $300
2) OD or tan ''Kryloned'' lower spray paint $5
3) Installation of Trijicon night sights (You just got to have those, no exceptions) :) $200+-

that looks really nice. hard to see what the fudge about the slide is from the picture but it does look good.
i should of tried that instead of cold blue...doh

With Duracoat the more hardener you mix with it the less flatter the finish. I will re do the slide for a flatter finish. I
