I have one and don't care much for it, but thats a good price. 300mm should let in a lot of light though. 
Millett DMS 1-5x ??? I have yet too see that model. I owned a DMS 1-4x for a short time, very nice clean/clear simple reticle. Price point for a DMS style scope was excellent. Only sold it to step up to something a little higher end and my only fault with the scope was the overall size for a 1-4x, pretty much the same length as some of my 3-9x scopes. But yes that is a great pice at $200
Yup. It is 30mm (not 300) and it is 1-4.
The reticle is a small circle with a tiny dot. This may or may not be to your liking. For CQB I find putting the circle in the center of the target is a simple task and it works quickly. For more precise aiming needs, it might not work.
For doing ammo testing, I find I can use the tiny little dot in the center of the circle to aim with. The red dot feature does not work in sunlight. It might work well in poor light or the dark. have not tried it.

Agreed! I have an 18" AR and tried to keep it light... But as soon as I added the scope, it got pretty heavy.... Still a decent scope though
