Hey guys. I've been trying to track down some IMR powders (4064 and 4831) with no luck. I'm in the Toronto area. Any suggestions as to where to look?

Thanks!

Been tryiong Bass Pro for a while. They carry the brand, but don't have the ones I'm after. In fact they haven't had them for months...

Sadly, the stuff Lebaron has is Hodgdon not IMR. Even thought the number is the same (H4831) I think that it's a different beast. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong... Thanks for the suggestion.

Niko... Check the burning rate chart on the below website.

H4831 is slower but close to IMR 4831 in burning rate. It comes in a short cut variety as well. Same burning rate, as regular H4831 but smaller granules. Meters better in powder measures and can give slightly better charge density.

I'd buy the Hodgons H4831. and work with it. Go to the Hodgons website for load recommendations. You should be able to use IMR 4831 recommended loads with relative safety as it is a little faster powder and the same weight of hodgons H4831 should build slightly less pressures.

IMR 4064 and 4831

Niko, I have 2lb. each IMR 4064 and 4831 powders unopened.
I paided $31.00 plus tax per lb ($35.65).
You can have some or all at my cost if you want them.
I have lots of other powder and have not yet started with the IMR based projects. With this being hunting session I won't be needing them for a while.
PM me if you want them.

H4831 is better than IMR anyways (and yes, H is slower burning that IMR)

Varget is better than 4064!

dont know if this helps or not... :p
