Detach scope mounts for my black special

For the rail, I'd got with the made in Canada Kyle Precision Arms rail. For detachable rings, go with Larue. Since they are hard to find, try to find some ARMS rings.

It's not super fancy but for my Black target (flat top) I went with the Zeiss quick release rings. They're Warne rings with the Zeiss logo. Either way they were available at the time and seem to work well. Here are some pictures. You can see the quick release tabs on the left. That being said, If you plan on using the quick release a lot, a Larue or other one piece would no doubt be better. I only got the quick release so the back up sights wouldn't be wasted if the glass ever failed, or for some reason I decided I wanted to use the iron sights.

My arms ring won't fit on my KPA rail. By the real rail much less hassle in the long run.

Are the rings too tight?

Edit: I'm guessing that you are just hesitant to close the lever. The Kyle Precision Arms bases are at the top of the Picatinny spec, so they will be tight.

I will stand corrected thanks to Armedsask. With some tutoring I have found that the ARMS rail will fit. I ended up having to use a plastic hammer to force it gently into place, once in place it is rock solid. The issue I had was not with the rail but the quality of the ARMS rail, as I was afraid of breaking it due to its cast nature. If this has caused any confusion I apologize and the customer service is second to none. KPA and Armedsask stand by their products.
Now on with the show to paint is and find some good optics HMMMMM

SO any more Ideas for a QD scope mount, it is a flat top so I do not need a rail just the QD mount, well I dont need it, but I would like one!

As already mentioned, ARMS or Larue. GG&G makes some quick detach integral ring bases but I don't know if you can get their stuff up North anymore.

I used an accushot RGWM2PA-30M4 Deluxe Medium. 30MM full size integral mount rings for picatinny/weaver rails. Since the swiss arms flat-top is only 223, you don't need a heavy mount. The scope is a 1.5-5x30mm .
