I took a funtional and reliable girl to the prom, and yes she did.

But what does that have to do with hunting rifles and whether they're purdy or not?

Our choices in women is often reflected in our firearms. I'm into pretty and practical. And accurate. And I am not fond on things falling off when I press buttons;)

It also happens to be a Criminal Code Offense to have a firearm in a vehicle that has ammunition in a magazine attached to the to firearm. It has to be mechanically attached under that definition as well. You can Google that one yourself.

An interpretation of s.86(3), as it would not be obvious to most folks.

I would just like to point out that in most cases, from personal experience, the homely ones, you know the unwanted ones, will most likely give you the.......... Well, you know what John Force always says after a 300 mile an hr pass "man, what a ride"! ;) And the rifles in my collection are all of the finest and purdiest there are. :D

I have both. None of mine rattle or make noise. I guess it comes down to preference like deciding between a 30-06 or a .308. They both work.

Yeah, but when you have a magnum, it's nice to have a hole in the bottom to put it in. And out. :p

The detachable mag rifle gives you the option to have 2 (or more?) mags loaded with different ammo (e.g. varmint & big game) to be able to quickly load the proper bullets when the opportunity present itself...

That is as good a reason as any to have a DM. I have hunted with all kinds, and don't really mind any types. Levers, and top loads are a pain in the butt, but I can struggle along.:p

This is my reason for a rifle with detachable mags...

I'm a fan of detachable magazines for several reasons, but I also like internal magazines on certain types of rifles for different reasons. To me, it is a choice that is preferable for convenience, for certain types of hunting and the locations that I hunt.

If I'm moose hunting up north, driving down logging roads or hunting from spot to spot on my atv, then, a quick slap of the magazine into the rifle, and your ready for action....or if I'm constantly loading and unloading twice a day, then its faster and easier than loading one bullet at a time.

If I was dangerous game hunting, the internal magazine is a must, for safety, because the risk of recoil causing your magazine to pop out is a factor.
