Hi everyone.

I have been looking to put a detachable mag on my Howa 1500 (Stainless Hvy Bbl/Laminate thumbhole, .308) and saw the detachable mag kits from Legacy Sports.

(Link here: http://www.legacysports.com/products/detachmags.html )

Thoughts?

Does anyone know where to get these in Canada?

I called Caldwell and Italian in Van. and they had nothing...
I would prefer to support a local dealer/importer if possible. (avoiding bass pro)

Another option is to try an AI floorplate/magazine kit from Wolverine.

Thoughts, opinions or ideas on how to get a detachable .308 clip on my Howa 1500 for a reasonable price would be appreciated.

Jerry @ Mystic Precision can get these in for you. I was in contact with him about these several months ago.

I have an LSI DBM and like it. The DBM is plastic, nice drop-in fit to the factory hogue stock, mags lock up nice and tight, feeding has been flawless. Try Barton's in Grande Prairie bbcoutdoors.com they had them a few months ago when I got mine. Price was $50 for DBM and $50 for a 5 rd mag. Good people to deal with too.

As I mentioned before it was a nice drop-in fit and feeds flawlessly. Very happy with it so far.

that's where I bought my howa. DBM conversion was bought from sportsman depot in the states.

For those of us, like me, that are looking for a bit of Long Action loving... http://www.cdiprecisiongunworks.com/howa-1500--long-action.html.

They might even export to Canada!
