Detached Hollis Lock

don't know what gun it is off maybe a smooth bore, but must be a early Hollis since it looks like it was maybe a flint and then converted
I thought Hollis was later then flint but haven't looked them up

It War of 1812 period. Converted from flint. Gun was smoothbore. Fairly rare gun with some historical significance.
It was one of 120 supplied by this contractor 1813-1815.

This is from a simplified version of the M1796 pistol was made for issue to HM Indian Allies. Unbridled, inside and out. This is the lock from one of these pistols. There were also a large number of NW pattern guns made for issue as well.
