Detent spring

How on earth do you fit the Take down detent spring without it either flying across the room or bending out of shape?

I use a twist tie or a needle that will fit in there, and be QUICK hahah, broke a few light bulbs a computer Monitor and I think I scared a visiting lady too lol

Use a box cutter blade or razor blade, it makes it pretty easy.
To be extra safe, put a plastic bag around your receiver so if it slips off you dont send your detent and spring flying.

Brownell's has a nifty detent tool to prevent flying objects. Safety glasses and a really big plastic bag will help prevent your bits from straying
into inconvenient places, like eyeballs or forced air ducts.

For the front all you need is a clevis pin ($2?) and a punch. Inserted pin in pivot holes, push spring through into receiver with punch, turn the pin so it can't eject, slide the takedown pin in in place.
