So I happened upon a HS Precision rifle and now it's mine...

I don't really have any use for it, and not sure how to determine its value, should I wish to sell it or trade it; maybe someone out there might be able to lend a hand.

Its a pro series 2000sa, in ridiculously good condition. The only downside (if it is in fact a downside) is its uncommon chambering - 325wsm.

I do have some pictures of it if that'll help.

***note: yes I realize there's a photo of the website, indicating that it would retail for $3555.00... that just doesn't sound right and I guess I'm more interested in what a fair selling price might be, given that it is used (albeit very lightly)

Thanks much!

WSS in Calgary had at least a couple (325's) they were clearing out for around $2200 new. Even at that price they have been on the shelf a while.

Last time I was at wholesales sports I asked if they had any left in any of their stores and the answer was no. The price of the rifle also depend on the model weather it is a PHL, PHR etc. My PHL Was just $3799 a few years ago( before the started to clear them out). I havent seem any other dealer sell them as cheap as wholesales cleared them out for. I wouldnt count on getting one that cheap anywhere else. If it is a PHL it $3300 shouldnt be unreasonable If its a PHR they were $3299, before they cleared them out. Being that Its a PHR $2800 would be reasonable, Just remember your trying to sell it to a more specialized crowd and it will probably take a while to sell unless your prepared to loose alot of money. Everyone wants a high quality rifle but wants it for nothing.

I sold two new ones for $2500.00 they were spl models and it took a long time to sell, one was 257wby and 300win mag.I would say for a used gun in a caliber like 325 I think asking price of $2000.00-$1800.00 would be fair but it would have to be an spl or phl with futed barrel to get that money and in excellent condition, caliber does make a big difference on price and how fast it sells.

Anyone willing to spend more than $2600 on an HS likes glue too much. A used model such as yours has a reasonable value of $2300 max "used".
They are good rifles. I can have a build of far greater quality done at $1000 less than their MSRP

LOL anywhere from 1800 - 2800...
Definitely appreciate the input so far though!!

hmm.... (1800 + 2800)/2 + be prepared to wait awhile.... okay then! :onCrack:

I've seen a couple .300WM's in excellent condition sit for months (about 1yr.ago) at $2400 at a local shop. $2200 is your number if you want any chance of selling it. Especially that it is in 325WSM.
