Detonics MTX 45

I haven't seen them yet and suspect it will be a while. Looking forward to hearing how they shoot.

Nice to see Detonics back, though I'm sure it is a totally different company than in the 80's. They used to have some really interesting stuff back in the day like their 451 magnum and their 1911 scoremasters.

Detonics is in competion to supply the new US Army sidearm .. that pistol has gotten some really good reviews .... of course I'm quite content with my .45 Combat Master MK VI ... a scoremaster would be nice though too ...
 
website don't work. 18 month gap between facebook posts. Using the name of a company that's been open and closed 4 or 5 times in the last 20 years.

The looks are a little off to me, but I'll give them credit for trying to maintain the ergonomics of the 1911 while updating the design to remove things like the grip safety.

Yeah, a bunch of web searching yielded not much...mostly posts on American forums like "Does anyone have experience with the MTX45" and all responses are negative.

website works fine right now. I've purchased parts for my combat master from them ... some articles out there about their interest (and backers) WRT new military sidearm ...
