Devcon Price Gone Wild

I went into Acklands yesterday asked the gentleman at the desk for Devcon and after explaining to him which type I wanted he said Ill be right back.
He returned with a 1 pound package and proceeded to do up the receipt as I waited with my CC, I casually asked what's it worth now. He replied $138.00 plus tax.
What!!!!!! "Are you serious" I asked. he said yes.......
After giving him a "company name an ID" he recalculated an the total was $90.33 + tax.
I can believe the price rise even if our dollar is way down......... Price of a bedding job is going up boys.

The problem is you buy at Acklands. All their prices have always been insane triple screw premium no lube jobs, then they " discount" to still unreasonable prices, fastenal is similar.

A lot has to do with our low dollar, I had to exchange some money last Friday and it was 35% exchange rate at the bank.

Yup. I did that too, about 4 months ago. Air Liquide and Prax are no better. 6x the cost of USA.

you realise Auclands, Fastenall, ... have different prices for different customers. The more you buy, the bigger the discount off of List prices. You walk in with no account, you get List prices.

^^^ Yup I questioned them about that and they did not have a good answer at all other than we will look into it..
