Developing a Good Pistol Load

As someone who is getting into the RPAL side of things for the purpose of pistols only, plus an avid rifle/shotgun reloader who casts as well. This is fantastic and thank you. You are correct about new loaders and I did the max path at first with rifles, but eventually come back to accuracy loads.

The two pistols I will getting is the Norinco 1911 at Cabelas in 9mm and 45 acp. How do you find them as shooters? My reason to buy is price points at $399.00 for each one, not a pistol shooter per say. I had the 1911 in the Army and Glock later on, so not unfamiliar at all (spent two yrs on the rifle team shooting pistol as back up, so lots of experience) Lots of rounds down range.

I have shot competitively since 1986, in 3 Gun Action, Action Pistol, IPSC (10 years), World War 2 re-enacting matches, Cowboy Action (22 years). I have done load development in every caliber I have shot since I started to get the most accurate ammunition for the firearm that I'm using in any particular discipline at the time. Calibers include .38 Spl, .357 Mag, 9mm, .44 Spl, .44 Mag, .45ACP, .45 LC, 6.5x55mm, .303, .308, .30-06, .32-40, .38-55, .45-70, 8mm & .400 CorBon. Load development never seams to end.............
