As I await the delivery of my first Colt 1911, a Combat Elite, I took it upon myself to get more information into the history and evolution of this iconic handgun. Having owned three 1911's prior to the Colt, I felt fairly familiar with all of the changes with the 1911 between 1911 to present day. I was just missing everything that led up to those changes from 1900 through 1911! This video serves as a history lesson with much of the information I was yearning for.
