You already know my opinion, but lets say for arguments sake, your MP-40 is worth $3300. Even if that is correct, now you have to find a motivated buyer. While there are lots of CGNuts who would love to have your MP-40 hanging on their wall, unfortunately there are very few who have (or are willing to spend) that kind of money for a Dewat MP-40. If you are not in a hurry to sell I would just be patient and keep relisting it at your current price "or best offer" and look in to advertising it in as many other locations as possible. If you are looking for a quick sale, I think you may have to lower your expectations somewhat.

Also duece-duece, yours has horrible looking welds, and sadly isn't excellent shape. This affects the price.

$4000 is feasible but it better be #### and click, and Facking nice.

Bought an airsoft mp40 for $200, all metal and looks identical to the real thing. Full auto and looks good on the wall too. Had a BD38 and also went for compensation, can't stand dewats...

Sweet setup, always loved halftracks! Good point, dewats definitely have their place and those make the vehicle Ive owned a couple but ended up selling them, couldnt get past the fact that a perfectly good firearm was destroyed and made virtually useless.

A dewat BD 38 was listed for $2500 at the Brandon Gun Show yesterday. Don't know the final price but it was marked sold.

Yes, I'm aware of your opinion. Funny thing about opinions is everybody's got them and many are incorrect, outdated, not truthful or otherwise invalid.
Some of this stuff is very difficult to price. There will be no more #### and clicks, how do you account for that? Bad weld (note the lack of plural) or not...
Numbers matching, Is that worth something? In my opinion it is but yet yours didn't seem to take that into consideration.
Spare mag and sling?

The Internet is a funny place... Lots of guys have want to buy ads on the ee.... I replied to all relevant ones when I sold a deactivated Thompson about a month back. I got offers from down right absurd to realistic. In the end I sold it to a very polite guy who made a fair offer, he was very happy as was I.

I sold a dewat sterling a few months before that.... Again, everybody had an opinion but it's the realistic ones that win the prize.

In the end, I see it like this. It's the vendors job to get the highest price possible. The purchasers job is to pay as little as possible.

My mp-40 sold... It wasn't that far off my asking price but it was a long ways from your opinion. If the purchaser wants to chime in with price paid that's fine by me.

Since it couldn't be legally imported and sold in Canada, it'd be worth zero here...

In the US, if it is Papered and Transferable, probably $10,000-$15,000 in todays market...

If it was never registered in '68 or in an amnesty, it could probably fetch your buddy at least a couple years in Club Fed???

A 12(2)FA or a 12(3)CA, MP38/40 would be worth less then a dewat. Since there is a rather small amount of Grandfathered 12(2) and 12(3) PAL holders.
