I looked for quite a while before I found one. I got mine on the EE. You may want to check at Collectors Source fairly often, they always have a variety of deactivated military firearms fo sale, although they don't have any Thompsons right now. Wolverine also sold one within the last month or so. Don't just look for deactivated ones, if you can find a live one, dectivation is not expensive. Mine was live (semi-auto only) when I bought it and it cost $75 to deactivate it.

Sgt. Rock !
What a shame these fine pieces of history can't be enjoyed by future generations.

What is the law on these, can they be owned semi auto or would it be restricted in semi?

Deactivated gun is just a paper weight by another name. ;)
