Dewey Cleaning Rod?

Has anyone here ever modified the handle on their cleaning rod? It is too big to clear the stock on my 40x and they dont make a longer one.

Is there a way to remove the handle and reduce the size of it?

How long do they make dewey rods? I have a tipton that is very long you could look at them?

Don't have a direct answer to your question...but I just bought a couple of ProShot rods from Nordic Marksman, and the handles on them (red, anodized aluminum) are pretty small in diameter. Definitely smaller than my Dewey rods.

You can order directly contacting Denny and DebMarie. They are great people and their custom rods are top shelf. I have 2 in 40 inches in .187 diameter. Very sturdy. I just ordered a 46 incher from them because I have the same problem you do with an Anschutz 1411. The handle of my 40 inches does not clear the stock.
Combination of Ivy ss rods and MWERKS bore guide= a real winner.

Gillis2: Im also using a mwerks bore guide. What was the approx shipping of the Ivy rod? Curious because its a long package.
