DGW .22 adapter - shot & HOT GLUE!

Gentleman,

Here is a blast from the past..(well not so past for some of you guys)

Back in the 80's before CCI made the .357, .44 (etc) cartridges that came with shot in them, I remember reading an intriguing article that showed how to load up these rounds then use hot glue (thats right, hot glue) to seal the end of the case with shot mixed in. It was a snake, bird, rodent, 5 ft target handgun kind of speacialty round.

Well that info in Canada and in general was not useful anymore due to the modern rounds, handgun laws etc....

...enter my new Antique .32 and DGW .22 adapters...

Anyone ever try or maybe read the same article to show I am not a nut.

Fill me in what are your thoughts, if nothing this could be a provacative conversation.

I think it would be a very bad idea to make shot rounds for an antique pistol and then carry it anywhere, especially the woods. Hard to convince a conservation officer you're not handgun hunting when you are loaded with shot rounds.

Sounds like an interesting project. I have a barn full of critters that would make such a project worthwhile.

Claven, I appreciate your feedback, however I don't know that your argument holds any logical basis. how would it be different if they were Navy Arms rounds?

It wouldn;t - you'd be just as busted If you were shooting normal projectiles, however, and had a few targets in your back pocket, you could say you were out plinking for target practice. That's defensible and legal with a prescribed antique.

Stalking the bush loaded with shot rounds, on the other hand, is hunting with a handgun - which is provincially illegal everywhere.

I think there could be another application also, if I loaded them, less the shot, I could create the ultime "glue gun".... something you need glued? paper, leather, plastic... no mater to the Nitro Antique Glue Gun...blast adhesion!
