DGW 4x15 brass scopes

Does anyone have any experience with a DGW reproduction brass scope mounted on their rifle? If mounted on a .54 with 110 grains of ffg behind the ball I am wondering if the cross hairs will eventually fail, even springer air rifles need an air rifle scope as rifle scopes often pack it in.

scopes are okay mounts are garbage, I had one for a while then had sold it to a buddy who then ran it with good mounts on a Winchester Highwall in 40/60 Maynard... no complaints so far .... good mounts run about $450.00 USD,,, Montana Vintage Arms, RHO, or DZArms you will need to find a Pope Rib because that DGW / Tasco scope has no rib .. another place is Steve Earle Products . I would guess that you do not want to spend that money on a muzzleloader that scope has to be able to slide forward under recoil ,then you pull it back before every shot.

There was a Safari Arms 54 on GP that had the shorter brass scope that reminded me of a Winchester style series "B" scope. MVA has that model of scope

I had one one, I assume was a DGW, on a rolling block but was unimpressed because the cross hairs are fine and very little light comes through the scope

The 3/4 tube MVA scope are good for target work only ,I would not use one for hunting at all
