Ok, it's not a 452 carbine its a scout, but i've taken to calling it the carbine model
Went out today in some great conditions to re-install my scope as i have been using it with irons the past couple weeks for fun. Boy was i surprised at the first groupings! It was dead nutz zeroed at 50m with no tweaking. Im very happy with the J&P delrin adapters for the scope mounts, it makes for very quick mounting and dismounting.
I tried my two favorite loads again being CCI SV and SK std+ and here is what happened at 50m.
The gratuitious glamour shot
First 3 groups of SK, cold dirty bore. *It should be noted i measured the second group wrong on the dial, it's actually .322"
Then 3 groups of CCI, 3 groups of dissapointment.
Not able to believe the CCI was doing that bad i tried one more group before pulling the plug and shooting two more groups of SK. The last of which being the group of the day.
Here is a shot of the bedding job i did, I decided to go front and rear voids and float the sides of the action. It really prefers a lighter torque setting this way it seems, but does very well. The bottom of the action is still in contact with the base of the inletting here.
And here is a close-up of the mounting system, it is J&P 11mm adapters and burris signature medium rings. One day ill get a set of torx head screws for the rings... For now they work really well as is. Scope is a vortex diamondback 2-7x35 rimfire.
Im loving this little rifle.
