So on the way home from work stopped by the local gun emporium and a Diana 54 in 22 followed me home.
Just got back from the range to test fire it and it doesn't seem to #### everytime I pull the lever back.
When it does #### the lever seems to come back farther than when it doesn't ####.
I was at the range for an hour or so and managed to get it to shoot 12 times or so.
My arms are tired.
The instructions don't mention a procedure for cocking it. I tried pushing the action forward, backwards, safety on, and safety off.
The instruction say "The trigger and the safety engage when the side lever has moved to the most rearward position"
There's a plate on the right hand side of the action between the reciever and stock that seems to stop the cocking lever from travelling all the way back.
Any suggestions?
I'm baffled.
