Jacques, D&L can ship you some heavier pellets....I agree with you though what's the point in having adjustable sights if you can't adjust for different pellets!
Is the sleeve extension metal? Can you post some pictures?
I looked online and saw this one...I don't know if it's a new version or if someone just cut a 3/8 inch standard dovetail into the sleeve..it sure looks like the sight on this one is removable.

I don't know Jacques it seems like the more I google diana P5 sights the more I think yours is driftable.....

Thanks for the input...I will re-examine the front sleeve and post a picture but my prior inspection realy did not show any 'driftablility' (if that is a word).

I am familiar with the font sight assembly you posted a picture of, it is for a rifle...I have one of those RWS 48 or 54?...a great rifle....I may try a sight assembly swap for for a try...I use a scope on the rifle anyway.

Here are pictures of this front sight assembly - barrel extension...
the sight itself appear to be in plastic (?) and the barrel extension is of cast metal and is fixed in place by 2 allen screws on the under belly

Your sleeve is different from the one in the first picture I posted but maybe you can replace the sleeve with this one,

Send RWS an email and ask them if they can send you a sleeve that has a dovetail!
I've had good luck with emails to companys in the past.....Good Luck!

I have sent an email to Dan at Northsylva (Torinto distributor) and requested assistance in locating a front barrel assembly with a dovetail type front sight post....the fidling with heavier pellets seems to me to be a cope out solution...who should I deal with, other than the Cdn RWS distributor?...
Is this RWS-Diana P5 pistol a good product afterall...? I wish it was...
